The Floating Tadpole Frog emphasizes surface stability and proportion through a streamlined foam body designed to float high while presenting a narrow, natural outline. The head section provides lift and resists water absorption, ensuring consistent flotation across extended use. The elongated rear body and trailing materials create continuous visual flow, allowing the fly to glide smoothly across the surface without excessive resistance. Rubber legs of moderate length respond to minor rod input and ambient water movement, producing secondary motion even when the fly remains stationary. The slightly flattened underside prevents unwanted rotation and supports controlled directional changes. Hook placement remains centered to maintain clean surface alignment.
