The Lemming Mouse is a specialized, high-profile topwater fly designed to imitate the prolific rodents of the far north, making it an absolute staple for Alaskan rainbows, Arctic Char, and giant Taimen. Characterized by its stout, chunky silhouette, this fly is meticulously hand-tied with premium, dyed deer hair to replicate the thick, mottled fur of a lemming. Its oversized body creates a significant footprint on the water, displacing enough volume to alert predators in deep or fast-moving currents. This pattern is engineered for maximum displacement, sitting low enough in the film to look substantial while maintaining the buoyancy required for a steady, rhythmic "V-wake" during the swing.

Built on a heavy-duty, short-shank hook, the Lemming Mouse is designed to handle the sheer torque of a large predator without bending. The aerodynamic, rounded trim reduces wind resistance, allowing for accurate casts into the grassy banks where lemmings naturally enter the water. It often features a reinforced tail and subtle whisker detailing to provide a realistic profile from every angle. When the seasonal lemming migrations begin, predators become hyper-focused on this protein-rich snack; having this fly in your box ensures you are prepared for the most explosive surface takes imaginable. It is the definitive choice for the destination angler seeking a rugged, high-performance big-game pattern.
