Massicada Smitherman features a robust, high-floating foam body carefully shaped to emulate the broad, rounded profile of a mature cicada. Its subtle segmentation along the back enhances realism, while the metallic shimmer in the body material catches and reflects light, creating a visually compelling target for surface predators. Flexible, extended rubber legs on either side introduce secondary motion, ensuring enticing activity even during pauses. The head profile is tapered for smooth water entry, reducing unnecessary splash and maintaining natural presentation. Reinforced thread wraps and a solid hook shank provide durability, keeping the fly intact through repeated strikes and maintaining consistent performance in various water conditions.
