The Mohair Leech is defined by its soft, fibrous mohair body, which absorbs water quickly and produces a smooth, flowing profile beneath the surface. The loosely twisted fibers expand when wet, creating a full silhouette that subtly pulses with every pause or change in current. This construction allows the fly to move naturally even at very slow retrieve speeds. The tapered body enhances a lifelike leech shape, while the matte texture reduces unnatural flash, making it suitable for clear and pressured waters. Durable thread wraps secure the material firmly to the hook, ensuring the fly maintains its profile after repeated use in rivers, lakes, and stillwater environments.
