RIO’s Foam Slice Frog is defined by its simplified, planar body construction that prioritizes stability and surface control. The layered foam body creates a firm yet responsive platform that supports sustained flotation without absorbing water. Leg materials are selected for elasticity and durability, allowing repeated flex without deformation. The hook shank is embedded within the foam to maintain alignment and reduce leverage during surface movement. The fly’s geometry encourages a lateral glide across the surface, with minimal vertical disruption. This design emphasizes predictable behavior, balanced material distribution, and a clean surface profile that remains consistent across varying retrieve speeds.
