The Squirrel Tail Mouse is a classic, high-performance topwater pattern that leverages the natural, undulating movement of real squirrel fur to trigger aggressive surface strikes. Unlike stiff synthetic tails, the soft squirrel tail pulses and swims with a life of its own, creating a secondary action that convinces wary trout and bass that this "rodent" is truly alive. The body is meticulously hand-spun from premium, buoyant deer hair, trimmed into a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette that tracks perfectly through the water. This dense construction ensures the fly sits high in the surface film, producing a consistent "V-wake" that predators can track from a distance. Built on a reinforced, chemically sharpened hook, the Squirrel Tail Mouse combines the tradition of natural materials with the rugged durability needed for modern big-game fly fishing. It is the perfect choice for anglers who prefer a more organic, fluid motion in their mouse presentation
